Okay, I'm seeing a few errors. There is a gap between the magazine housing and receiver that should not be there.

The front sight is the wrong shape, and the backsight could be better.

The new barrel nut is much better.

As mentioned, the cocking handle/slot is in the wrong place, and need some re-shaping.

The area where at the rear (where the sling would go through) is not quite right on the outside. more rounded, not so vertical.

The 'Strap' over the rear receiver tube could be wider and has a hole in it.

I hope that's at least a bit helpful. Your previous designs have all been wonderful, lets make this one a winner too.

I was wondering if this project went a bit further? It really is a wonderful design of a pretty unique piece. I'd love to see this come to life, so to speak!

Cheers!

I was wondering what is the best way for a beginner paper model designer to design his own paper models.

if any body is thinking of picking this project back up here is a link I came across Partlist [Mp40.nl] it shows all the parts to the MP 40. so it might help.
