Ze Reis
I saw your models on the Renova site. Very Nice. You must feel great having your models selected for display.
I contacted Marcin and am now waiting for my own Kraz.
I would like to ask you how you paint and weather your models. The finish is so real looking.
Thanks
RIck

piper and Rick (rixtoys) > Thanks by your words.

I paint the base color with acrylics. To the patina I use pastels in sticks converted in dust by sandpaper. The dust are applied with brushes (old brushes, because they spoil easily).

piper > I use pastels in plastic models to.
As you can see on my blog in Catalina PBY-5 plastic model, the smoke on motors it's paint the same way.
In wash on all, fuselage, wings, etc. I don't use oils but pastels. In this case the recipe was...
- Pastel in dust;
- Water;
- Some drops of dishwashing liquid.

Rick > Already reached the kraz?
The Renova site was attacked by hackers.
