Thanks guys, Your complements really mean a lot to me.
B-man - please do give it a try, I'd love to see it. Just don't try to add the rivets! I thought about it a couple of times, but finally played it safe and chickened out, there were just too many of them and they were way too small. good luck. As for my next build I'm undecided... It's a toss up between the WWI Russian tsar tank (w/ really cool spoked wheels) or the (get ready for this...) Wicked Wench from the Disney Experience website. (I never built a ship before). What do you all think? Which would you rather see? Please help me make up my mind! |

The rivets probably could be embossed - I don't think gluing them on would work well at this scale. I've looked at the Lebedenko tank - I think I'd try to figure out how to do spokes rather than the discs of clear plastic. It would be spectacular in 1/25. Regards, Charlie |

I agree! I've been thinking about this one for a long time now. I would like to construct the spoked wheels using a very thin guage of wire, the clear disks just don't cut it. I have seen smaller spoked wheels that were made out of string or thread. But for a wheel as large as this I think wire may be the way to go. |

When I visited with Lou at PMI he showed me the wire he uses to build with, he uses it for biplane rigging, very straight, but shiny silver, called ''tag wire" really looked nice on his biplanes
