Ok so after a few minutes here's how it looks like...nearing the finish line but still not quite.....I still have something planned for this build to really end it with the proverbial 'bang!'
I have to practice on my spray painting |

Great job there Isievert, pull that out on some folks and they would think you had a real pistol. I can't wait to see your next work on the subject.

I wouldn't advise pulling that out on anybody, you just might have to be doing a bit of explaining to the boys in blue!

Almost There
Ok the Woodsman is finished....but the project is still 70% done....so, here's what I worked on so far to finish the pistol
We start with the details on the magazine... This gets inserted into the hollow of the magazine right-side grip screws for the grip done!!!! at last with the magazine out right side... Let's go shoot something |

Ok so the pistol done was just 70% of the paper gun project. This is how the rest of the 30% went...
Why don't we look at what's inside.... of course it's the woodsman The Warranty's there, the factory target paper, the manual...i guess it's the real deal Colt we have here 1950s just having fun. happy family. Others are FEG 9mm (Hi-Power) also design by John Moses Browning and a Czech HS2000 .45 (precursor to the XD). Thanks for all the views, the tips, comments, beer suggestions, and for all the interaction. Things I learned for this build: 1. Take time to prepare the surfaces that have to be painted on. 2. Paint, no matter how thinly sprayed, affects the fitting of parts. 3. Always keep spare blades. 4. Get as much reference material available. Don't stop searching. 5. Review past builds of others in this forum, you will definitely pick something up to help you. 6. Use a phone camera to mask your mistakes 7. Visualize how the end-state would look like. 8. Improve. Improve. Improve. Next in line is the Colt 1908 Vest Pocket .25 |
