Fantastic! You always go that extra bit that brings simple card to life. I've always enjoyed watching your builds.

The turret

Did the turret last night.

I tried a new approach for the gunmetal.....I'm not sure it is a success...

I'm waiting for some items I bought from Bruce's Avantcard shop to complete the rear part of the tank.I was in need for some diamondshaped mesh, and Bruce had it
So now it's bak to the wheels.....

I think you're referring to the hull machine gun. There was a fashion in the 30s and 40s to encase the hull machine gun in an armoured sheath to protect the gunner. Probably worked reasonably well but would have been hard to move the machine gun onto moving targets.

Regards,

Charlie

Now that I got the diamondshaped papermesh from Avantcard it was time to move forward on the detailing of the hull.

Here I have made a new mesh, and as you can see ,it looks really good compared to the stock one.

Painted and glued in place

There was 3 types of this airvents

I also made the handgrips and hinges on hatches and some levers.

Also finished the hinges and handgrips in the front.

Started nightshifts again, and the 10TP is continued.

The exhaust pipes are papermade, but I did an attempt in bringing some texture that was supposed to simulate flexible tubes. I'm not sure how successful that was.....

Some details on the side.

Tow shacles, made after Jim Nunns receipe Thanks for the brilliant tip Jim!! This methode is described in Jim's review of the Halinski Panther on my site.
This is the first attempt, just to be familiar with the tecnique.
