The Haggin Museum in Stockton, California has Holt related material in their collection. They might be more co operative than trying to go through Caterpillar to get pictures and plans of old tractors.
25 years ago most of the old Holt factory was still standing in SE Stockton. The site has now been pretty much flattened. A couple of small out buildings of the old Holt factory were still standing about 5 years ago, I don't know if anything from the past is still currently standing on the old factory site.
The Haggin Museum also has the archives of the Stephens Bros. boat building company.
Stockton is an interesting place, but the city is bankrupt and a lot of the area is pretty grim, just something to keep in mind if you are planning a visit.

John, thanks for the tip on the museum. Wasn't aware of it and since I'm over in Central Cal at least once a year will see if I can get there. Stockton has been on the downside for several years, that whole area has somewhat.

Didn't realize Cat was being so uncooperative. Had heard that was one of the problems with trying to get a reissue of the D8 plastic kit from AMT.

Just loaded a new model on Landships II - this one is a co-host of Thorsten Brand's 1/144 Zeppelin L.13. It fits with the WW1 theme of Landships and it's a
great model (imho).

New versions of Wayne McCullough's M1 (Early) St Chamond tank are available
on Landships II. That is: "Teddy", "Fantomas" and the white model. The St Chamond model has been revised to get the profiles and angles of the front plates of the model as close as possible to the original. It was found that hardly any drawings of the St Chamond depict the front of the tank accurately.

Wayne says he's working on the M2/M3 (Late model) updates.

More updates to Wayne's St Chamond models on Landships II (Landships II).

Update to the St Chamond M1 "Fantomas"
Update to the St Chamond M3 "706" - new profile on the front plates
New St Chamond M2/M3 white model.

We seem to have acquired the M1..M3 designations for the versions of the St Chamond.:
M1 - is the flat roof version with 3 cupolas on the front of the tank
M2 - has a pitched roof but no cupolas
M3 - has the pitched roof with a single square driver's cupola.

Wayne has more St Chamonds in the works including a "caisson" version - these were unarmed tanks used as supply and recovery vehicles.

And just to tease - an FCM 1A is being worked on.

Two new St Chamond versions by Wayne McCullough at Landships II Landships II:

St Chamond M1 Char Caisson - a disarmed tank used for supply - similar idea to the British Mark I Supply tanks.

Just as a teaser Wayne has said he's working on the following WW1 models: FCM 1A, Crompton ED3 and an Oberschliessen.

I'd better explain what these are for the WW1 deficient - the FCM 1A was a French heavy tank prototype which evolved into the massive FCM 2C built in the 1920s, the Crompton Emplacment Destroyer (ED) was a proposal for an SPG with a 4.5" howitzer and the Oberschliessen was a German medium tank which got as far as prototype construction before the war ended.

Andriy Romanchuk (allfrompaper.narod.ru) has allowed us to co-host his armoured car models at Landships IILandships II.

So far Andriy's 1/43 Austin-Putilov and Jeffery Armoured Car No.1 are on Landships II. My intent is to convert the older models to a similar format as these models but that will take some time.
