the parts in the 3/2001 issue of Kartonowka, are add ons to the Sherman.

extra Track links, jerry cans, c-ration boxes, Ma Deuce, a confederate flag, and some other bits, and it also includes a cage set up similar to the cages on current day Strykers.

I will scan some of the pictures of the magazine for you on Monday when I get back to the office

Rick

My kit already includes these additional parts. If I remember correctly (I'll have to double check) It seem to me that they are all bunched together and printed on the same sheets toward the back of the book. When I first started to look over this kit, I remembered thinking to myself, this was a strange way to lay out the pages. If you would not have mentioned it here, I probably would not have given it a second thought but now it all makes sense.

The kit that I am building is dated 2004 which was published 3 years after the 2001 article. So there must be an earlier version that does not include all of the extras.

I'd still be very grateful for the pictures, especially of the Dragon Wagon, if you can find them.

Update

UPDATE: I'm Back

It's been way too long since I've posted anything here on the Sherman!

I just want everyone to know that I have not given up and thrown in the towel I just had too much other stuff going on.

If you remember back a few months ago, Greg (Modelperry), and I made a friendly little wager to build this puppy. At the time, I had a bit of a head start, but not too much of one. Right now, I'm not quite sure where Greg is at with his build (considering the Scud and all) but here is where I'm at. Hopefully this time I'll be able to finish it up. The Dragon wagon is waiting in the wings. Yes, Don, you heard me right the Dragon Wagon is next

The wheels are finally finished. Their construction was pretty straight forward...Some fit issues, however, nothing too bad. I just had to really take my time and pre-fit each piece... The other not so fun part was all of the circle cutting on laminated stock. Boy,what I would give for a better circle cutter.

Next, I am moving on to the bogies. This part of the build is definitely the most time consuming part. Once I get past all of the running gear I'll be able to pick up the pace.

Looking good Kevin, one of my favorite armor vehicles since after all, I am a ole sprocket head. I have looked forever and hoped our local web site we all order from would get another, but alas no luck yet. I always thought what a cool model, this setting on the trailer of a DW.Rick

Very nice Kev, like all the guys here, I will be taking a good look at this. After I finished with my T-34, up next on my list is the Sherman Firefly so this will be a good reference for me. Superb craftmanship on this one.
