BPM Stielhandgrenate

Hi Folks,

Summer holidays are upon me and its time to get back to some modelling. I started with a simple two-session build which also let me try out my new toy, the NT Circle Cutter.
A quick and easy build, I reinforced the handle parts with extra 1mm card disks.

Enjoy.

Bernie

Looks great! Mine didn't come out ANYWHERE near as nice as yours. Then again, I didn't have a circle cutter, one of my next purchases...

What do you think of the NT Circle cutter? I've tried a few different circle cutters and have not been impressed by them so far. This one looks like it may be different though.

The NT Circle cutter, in my humble opinion, is just about the best you can get! I have tried others, such as the Olfa Compass cutter, but none compare. It is easy to use and is bang on accurate every time. It even allows concentrically-cut circles/washers to be made, using a simple guide included with it.
The downside, it is around £20 for this piece of kit, but if you want consistent results, then it's worth the investment.

Happy modelling

Hi Dessy,

Many thanks for your comments.
Got my cutter from Hellermans Craft and office supplies, but they are available on ebay.

As for other grenades, I have the freebie RG42 from the same company and may have a go at this soon. I haven't seen that many others, perhaps you could point me in the direction of some more, free or otherwise.

Happy modelling

Bernie

Received my NT Cutter a few weeks ago. Before I even used it on a model I cut 60 3" cardstock circles for a project for my wife-perfectly accurate and fast, I was done in minutes. I cannot say enough good things about this tool-easy adjustment, fast set-up, quality construction, centering guide, and fast, perfect circles.

Don't waste time with anything else. Get an NT circle cutter-you will not be disappointed. After trying the cutter I ordered a pack of 40 replacement blades.

I'd love to obtain one of these, which Mike Scalingi (Bomarc) has also endorsed.

However, I have been unable to find a supplier who will ship to the United States at a reasonable price (generally, the going prices range around $36.00 U.S., but so far, the only supplier I have found who offers shipping to the United States is asking $112.00).

If anyone knows of a source available to those of us in the United States, I would be glad to know.

Don
