Looks real to me. Reminds me of the 1911 I carried in the service. It's a good weapon if you take the time to learn to use it properly and not just blaze away. Thank you for this build thread. It has been most enjoyable.

The M-1911 standard issue, was kind of wobbly, but ours were modified to match standards and were very accurate, there was no shaking of the upper receiver and and had very tight tolerance. That puppy was very accurate at 50 meters, double tapping center mass. I was sad when I had to give it up for the Beretta.

I am glad that you have enjoyed the build thread, I still have some more photos to upload.

1911 Colt Automatic

The thread is almost coming to an end. Here you can see the upgraded lettering. I used the lettering from the schematics and remade them in white on a matching colored background to the frame. Again, I was pleased as to how it blended in with the gun. I was planning on using letrasets, but those old fashion rub-un lettering are hard to find in the right size. The next batch of photos will be of the finished gun in the presentation box. Until then enjoy and see you all around the forums.

Congratulations on turning this model into a museum piece. You really did well on this one. How about another WH40K build?

A perfect completion to a great project. Absolute excellence on the building. Very impressive.

There in the works but first I have to do a HALO gun for my grandson who also liked my M-1911

Thanks for the Kudos and the build thread seems to be my trademark. I like to show how the model is built and the viewer can see that it is card stock (paper)

Thank you, the presentation is an old box that was on the way to the trash and got recycle.

Thanks to you all and everyone else who looks in. Enjoy and see you all around the forum.

Thanks DC for looking in and for the comment. The thread is to help others in thinking out of the box. I learn from others and hopefully I can pass that on to others.
