Yes this is a beta build for Wayne McCullough. He is in the final stages of putting it all together and should be releasing it soon. Cheers Bernie |

May I make a comment about the joining strips....
If you are embossing the rivet detail on these strips you've got to do it before cutting the parts out of the sheet. The strips are way too small to be able to emboss the rivet detail on cut out parts without lots of distortion. It just means a little forward planning during construction. The Gun Carrier model is lacking a gun. Wayne is working on a 6inch howitzer model so it probably won't be released until it has a gun to go with it. Most of the carriers were used as supply vehicles, after April 1918 the ramps and winches were removed to make more space for supplies. There is an opportunity for a supply version of the carrier. Regards, Charlie |

Having fun with the rear doors. I decided to go with the detailed option in the kit. The simplified versions are just layered on the rear plate.
Cutting out the parts is quite taxing, but a steady hand and sharp blade will prevail. Glues up nicely. The rear openings needed a bit of fettling to get the frames to fit snugly. Deck-house fitted in place. All the best and happy modelling Bernie |

Thanks Joe, another great addition to the WW1 range. I forgot to post a picture of the doors in place, so here it is. I have also fitted the rear mud guards and exhaust. The silencer (muffler) is from a paper lollypop stick and the pipe from a piece of solder.

Thanks Enrico and Elliot. Almost there, some work on the Gun Sled this time. I decided to punch out the rollers for the trolley because I couldn't get round the tight curves involved.
These were glued up and painted. After this, finishing of was very quick. Sub assemblies. Fitted. Retracted. Just the doors and grab handles to go. |

Thanks David and to all for looking in.
I am now calling this one complete for the moment, but I am working in a diorama base for presenting at my local IPMS chapter in December. Remember that this is a Beta build and so some elements will be changed when Wayne issues the kit. This has been a delightful little kit and has been extremely straightforward. However, there are some fiddly and complex arrangements involved. I have made it more challenging than usual by enhancing some of the simplified parts, namely driver's cabs, track guards and grab-handles from wire. I would like to thank Wayne for allowing me to be part of his design process and to Charlie C. for his help and advice. Anyway, here are the final pictures. And a final one with some accessories All the best and happy modelling Bernie |
