Thanks DJE.
I did see GPM do extra laser cut wheels not included in the standard package. I didn't buy them so I will be getting lots of circle practice! :D
I hope to try it this weekend.

Nice work on the turret!

Hi,
Still some more work to do on the wheels and more links; to charge, I started the suspension. Mostly straightforward.
Minor issue; again, since there's 2 sided printed parts, why 193 aren't ?? a little paint and problem solved but still odd. Btw same statement for 254.

More problematic :

Can't found any sense. There's no part listed to cover it up, neither to glue. I used the "reserve" and a 7mm (8?) puncher to make spare part.

Next, the springs.
Bye.

Hi,

I speed some time looking at the best solution for assembling wheels/transmission/suspension, I'm going with a quite unconventional solution :
So I will start by glueing the "arms" 188 / 205 to the hull.
Then will go the suspension - working on it.
All the weight is going to be on the 4 inners one (188) I build the 4 cylinders (191) that make the junction 188 - 192 and filled them up with cardboard to add more surface for the glue.
Next part will be to set the tracks with drive sprocket and read idle - Only made an half so far -
finally I will add the outer wheel.

Right now I finished the wheels. I added rivet, that wasn't so much work ( a couple of hours) and worth the work

Now I hope the sketches are accurate, glued the arms according to them, inner just at the bottom of the hull, outer 5mm lower ; I checked with part 192 and it look all right.

Now I'm working on making some spring for the suspension.

Bye

Nice work.
It seems that this model is well designed. I have their previous model Type 97 shinhoto Chi-Ha, but still don't feel so confident to make it.

hi 7tp,
both model are similar, and indeed well designed, this one may have few more detail and a few correction. Ok, some little problems, but nothing you can expect at this level of detail. It's not that difficult neither, as long as it's not your first tank, you should be fine And if you don't have them already, get the extra set, worth the price !

Finished the suspension. the kit provide some "tube" for the spring, I made new one from copper wire, nothing difficult.
Added "inner" wheels to the model, I now keep it aside for few days, so the glue has time to fix. Meanwhile, some more track to do...

dje,
Beautiful work! I love the details, like the rivets.
