Curiosity - why green for a WW1 Russian armoured car?
I know the Bolsheviks tried to impose a uniform apple green colour on their vehicles. The Imperial Army system seemed to have grey and khaki colours but I haven't seen evidence of a colour like the later 4B0. Charlie |

Thanks guys.
CharlieC, I have no idea about real colors of armored cars from that period of time. I've paited it green according to the color of WAK's kit. In the kit you have 2 option of this model. Captured Polish car named 'WNUK' and car without any marks. Both of them are in dark green color. I saw also this picture(click). It seems to be painted dark green. |

7TP,
Just fascinating. Following your build is like watching a tutorial. Love the precision and detail, especially the weathering. How do you decide which paint to use on what part? Is it part of the instructions or do you pick and choose? Phil |

I've read that the Russian cars were different colours (mostly grey, khaki or brown) dependent on which factory built them. I have no idea whether this is true or not. Charlie |

CharlieC,
You're right. I just painted it according to the kit. I think I will mark it and make this model as a captured Polish car. Then probably color that I used will be right. I also have other WAK's kit of Renault-Mgebrov armored car. The color is also dark green. Lukas |

Hi,
I've done the model. I decided to mark it as a captured Polish car named "Wnuk". For the dirt, dust and mud I used Citadel texture paint Stirland Mud and Tamiya weathering master sets A and B. The final effect you can see on the pictures below. I just wanna say that this is my first card armored vehicle and also first weathering on paper model I've ever made. Enjoy Lukas |
