Kahr P9 concealed carry pistol 9mm
Hello again. Hope im not too boring with the guns.
I just started a Kahr P9 pistol which i downloaded from papercraft square. It is a pdo model but i will use the patterns simply to make my life a bit easier( not having to measure or guess parts of the gun). So far i made the magazine which functions. The spring is not for the mag nor its good but i managed to make it partially work so you can put 3 round in and hopefully the the gun will be able to strip a round off. I also used the baking soda and superglue trick and its awesome for parts that need to be extra strong. Have a nice day. |

Thanks Mac. Here's a little update on the gun. Turns out its actualy a K9 series of the Kahr pistols not a P9 series.
I made a working magazine release and it works pretty nice. The frame of the gun is about a halfway done but here is where the tricky parts come in. The trigger asembly which has about 10 components and everything but i mean everything is on some sort of a spring. I iam planing on making it more simple with much less parts, the dissconector and cam lock are out. The trigger when pulled should pull the trigger bar which in turn will pull the sear down , releasing the striker pin to detonate. Fingers crossed. Thanks for your attention. |

Hello guys. I havent updated in a while but the project is moving forward pretty nicely.
The trigger mechanism kinda works but i will now for sure after building the breech block with the striker pin. I also made the grips which are removable and lock on the back part of the frame. I experimented with painting the wood texture and it worked quite nice. You just paint the surface with brown color and after it dries you add the black colored streaks and a few strokes of a little darker brown to add variation. Finished with a glossy spray. By the way i used water colors. I hope you like it, i know i do |

So far so good. Although the slide is a little bit croocked becouse of the rails missaligment.
The slide works just fine. The barrel is a bit different from the original pistol becouse all the missed or additional milimeters add up and violaa , theres no room for some parts. So instead of the classical block with a hole for the takeoff pin i just made two pieces to pinch the pin in between. Also i need to add a little part to the top of the chamber block to stop the slide from launching itself off the frame lol. I was thinking of painting the gun silver or something like that, what do you guys think ? |

Very nice. For the grips I would make them matte black. Somehow the wooden look does not seem right. Krylon makes a metallic black metal paint which works real good and gives the gun a more realistic look. Give us an update when you finish the final stage.

Greeting guys. I haven't updated in a long time as it was a season for weddings and all other types of celebrations so as a chef there was little personal time for me.
The pistol is finished, again the ejection doesn't work but im closer to it working with every gun completed. Im pretty satisfied with how it turned out. Slide locks back on an empty magazine and it chambers a round. Next up is a Russian rotary GSh 18 pistol. Thanks for watching. |
