M3A1 Half Track, Modelik

Hi!

My latest build, sponsored by Modelik, including laser cut tracks. Overall its a good model, well fitted, but instructions are pain in the a$$ as many components are incorrectly listed or simply missing (corrected version MAY be on its way though). After a few months of eating my teeth solving assembly puzzles thats the final result...

If anybody coming to Cosford Model Show at 2nd April model (and others of mine ) will be on display somewhere around the Hurricane

Cheers!

A truly masterful build. Terrific model, well worth the pains of figuring out how it goes together.

Thanks guys!

Build took nearly 5 months, with few gaps in between to keep my mojo alive, as it was a must - do type of build (for the manufacturer) so could not quit... Generally went together very well, its just this instructions... not mentioning text description which brings absolutely nothing in (waste of paper that text was...).

There are also plenty spare components available such as boxes, ammo cases, rifles etc which I did not do for sake of keeping my sanity Full engine bay and chassis are also available, all doors and flaps can be done in closed/open position (left engine flap is not fixed - to be taken off at the shows to see the heart).

Model is not expensive, if you're getting one - get laser cut tracks as well - it'll save you some time! Assembly of laser cuts went surprisingly quickly but fitting around the wheels was a bit tricky.

Cheers!
