Well...

All the bits and bobs are on. I only need the wheels, the top of the turret and the gun and she'll be done. Really cool how it's coming together. I can see that armor is really well-suited for paper models!

Surprisingly complex little beastie! Looking good, though.

Beta Build For Corey: Polish Armoured Car wz. Early: DONE!!

Hi Jeff...you are right! I really thought this would go together in an evening but it really needs a bit of time, mostly due to my lack of experience at edge-joining. But...it taught me a lot and it is surprisingly complex. Not "toy-like" at all. I REALLY like it.

So here she is, all done and dusted. I ended up making more layers to the gun since with the paper I used, it looked too flat. I also used simple wire axles not due to Corey's design, but to my ineptness at trying to roll them, despite all the great tutorials on this site! The first shot shows the beast with a 1/48th B-24 maintenance man for scale and the rest are of the little machine. Cool model:

Man, did I want to add some handles and a radio antenna! But I don't think these guys had radios. My only aesthetic negative is that the rear fenders seem to end up crooked as they are attached directly to the body side. Maybe that's now the real thing looked...I don't know. I also just simply colored the two parts that were light blue on the sides so you can't even see those.

This little model would look great in a diorama and may end up in one!

Thanks for watching and thanks to Corey for letting me build this guy.

Cheers,
Dan

Wow! Better then I had hoped for. I wonder if you are up for a WZ-28? Same machine (more or less) but with a half track design! Anyhow, thank you so much. I have made corrections and this kit is nearly ready to send off to Chris at ecards!

The WZ-28 will look something like the center car in this picture. A few alterations with the track but it will be basically a printed box with possible layering effect but not overly complicated...

Dang you, Mr. Ertz! I'm a sucker for half-tracks.

I'll have a go. It will look so neat next to this one. I saw pictures of that machine on-line while looking for doors/handles etc. on the w. 34 and thought to myself..."hey! Corey should make that one!" (unless it's already in the pack you sent me...I'll take a closer look).

Thanks and Cheers, Corey.

Even more...

I got the main engine cover on. It folds and fits nicely especially with an internal former and now just needs a a filler cap and the radiator fins. I also got the lower ring for the turret started. Getting close now!

Thanks, Corey...

Oops! Put it in the wrong spot. This will be fun and confusing for next time!
