Holt One Man tank 1918 (1:24)

Model by Don Weeks downloadable from Landships II.

Reasonably easy to put together but I found it easier to make a couple of track frames and glue these onto the hull. It just seemed too floppy with just the track. I'm not sure but there seems to be one axle end (the small circular piece) short on the model. The sponsons are quite tricky to build so it pays to go slowly and only glue a couple of joints at a time.

The model is just under 75mm (3inches in American) long - I'm glad I didn't attempt the 1:50 version - definitely would need a magnifier.

Regards,

Charlie

Excellent model of a funny-looking little tank.

It's a thrill to see others build my little tank model. After your comment, I went back to count the "axle ends" on the parts page, and all 72 of them were there, so check your carpeting, LOL.

Here's a reasonably high quality image of the One Man Tank. It looks as if the
track shoes are made of wood.

Charlie

We don't do carpet in Queensland - it's too hot and it just provides the bugs with a good home. It probably fell into the crack between two floorboards or it got stuck to a dog's coat and is now outside.

Charlie
