parts 64 Air intake
No real issues here with the paper parts I used. I did replace the tube from the filter to the intake manifold with aluminum wire. Parts 65 Hood sides This is where a big issue resides. The bottom pieces of shroud do not have a large enough cutout to provide proper clearance for the front fenders. Careful surgery to increase this clearance is required on each shroud. I decided to forgo the hood side covers themselves as was common for warm weather months to provide additional engine cooling. Parts 66 Hood It appears that the assembly on the actual machine may have been bolted in place. The fit was OK in general. The top hood vents are supposed to be "moveable" but to get all the hinge parts and such to work well takes an inhuman amount of effort for such little benefit, so they are glued in an open position. Parts 67 Firewall One of the parts that wrap over the top edge of the firewall is too short requiring a cut in the middle to get each end in the proper place. Also I have absolutely no idea where piece 67W goes... Next up is mounting additional stuff onto the firewall. Once that is done and painted accordingly I can move on. greg

Hi Greg. You took on yourself very interesting project!
The build looks great until now. I am a papermodeler myself and just came back from several years brake. It's a shame i didn't see this build earlier... I would probably help you a lot. I've already build Famo myself and presented all the errors and issues in the process. I've also build Panzer III from GPM, that shares same design as Stug. Well.. if you still need some help in next steps on FAMO - you are welcome. I have build threads in english on several forums and can PM you for reference. I tried to pinpoint every problem and missing parts i found, so it is very detailed. Nevertheless, i see that you're doing very well with the progress of FAMO, all this years! Keep up the good work! Part 68 Fuel filters and lines
Lots of little parts. Also several fuel lines to make from wire. I doubt the accuracy of the fuel line patterns provided. Had to make a few mods to get them sort of in place. I have already cut one of the lines out due to clearance issue with the steering mechanism currently underway. Diamond plate So I have not been liking the printed diamond plate used for steps and floors. Especially when deciding how to paint and keep the print detail. So I went on a search for scale diamond plate. First I got some plastruct diamond plate but the pattern was way too large. Then I found some brass photoetched stuff here: https://kitformservices.com/ So I took a little break and made some replacement pieces. Two of which I already installed. greg
