Part number 2.

Some parts needed sectioned in to smaller pieces for a more proper fit. The thin side strips were a bit fussy. Both left and right side assemblies fit well onto Part 1.

A fair amount of touch up painting was needed. I found that one of my Japanese Naval colors offered by Testors awhile back is a very close match. Next post I'll try to provide the name and number of it.

The paint I've been using is Testors Acryl #4252 Maizuru Japanese naval gray.

Figured I'd post this for now since I've switched back to the P-51B for a bit.

Parts 3 & 4

No real fit issues. Although, the diagrams could be a little bit better.

Parts 5 & 6.

I fabricated the part 5 components and then assembled them wrong. Had to go back and reposition the diagonal braces. These don't fit correctly unless the bottom ends are shortened otherwise the front face piece bows out too much.

The drawings for this part are scattered around and I evidently missed one of them.

Part 6 went a bit smoother.

Seems to be an Angraf thing, I encountered the same issue a few times with the M1070.

Trailer is coming along nicely.

Thanks Igor and Jaffro!

Parts 7 & 8 round out the first official subassembly, the front bogie frame. I had to do quite a bit of trimming here and there to get everything to fit together decently. I also decided I will need to paint this beast because there is just too much white showing. I'll try to mask off the red and white portions, hope that will work out to my advantage...
