I'm not designer. There's a M35A2 from Modelik in scale 1/25. Would be easier to modify this one for REO M34.
Anyway, post-war vehicles are not my biggest interest. Star 66 is a part of my personal history so, that's why I'm building this truck. |

Closer to the end.
We changed plans and I'll paint it(now it's only tentatively painted). Don't worry about how it looks on the pictures below. Model is not perfect but I think it will look much better when I finish. |

Star 66, prepared for NVA
After 2 months of break(apartment makeover) I'm back with some progress and one big change. Truck will be in the North Vietnamese Army markings which were painted in Poland before they were sent to Vietnam in the late 1960s.
Some quick pictures taken by my grandson. |

Star 66 prepared for North Vietnamese Army(Poland, late 1960s)
Finally finished!
It was a real challenge. Model represents Star 66 prepared for the NVA. They were painted and marked in Poland in the late 1960s, so North Vietnam received trucks ready for service. You can even see little visible Polish People's Army markings under paint. I did it intentionally, because these truck were in Polish service before and I used to drive them while I was in army. PPA replaced Stars 66 for newer Stars 660 in the late 1960s. Star 66 was definitely one of the rarest vehicles used in Vietnam War. |
