Type 1 Ho-Ha (scratch project)

Just a few words for beginning.

This will be my own project completely from scratch.
Now I'm collecting technical information about this APC, but can't find blueprints and interior pictures. Would be great If you help me with that. Historical accuracy is really important for me.

I'm not sure about the scale yet....
Project will be definitely finished in June 2018 if not earlier.

Everything will be photographed, so you'll be able to see my work in progress.

If anyone has some questions, just ask

Excellent, Kacper! I have never seen a model of this half-track before.

I am sure you have already made use of the sources set forth in the Wiki article on this vehicle, so I have nothing additional to add, but I look forward eagerly to seeing your development of this model.

Some new decisions:
- scale 1/25
- all the details will be a little simplified, like in GPMs Ha-Go ( here's the Zenon's gallery Type 95 Ha-Go )
- half-track will be painted in typical japanese tri-color camouflage

I also found something useful(in attachment)

Measurements

Plans are scaled to 1/25. Everything matches correctly.

How to scale down, for those who don't know.
It's very easy:
1. Take the real measure, for example, lenght. It's 6.1 meters for Ho-Ha .
2. Divide 6.1 by the number of scale, in this case it's 25.
3. Score will be 0.244 so it's 24.4cm long.

That's everything about scaling.
You can see now comparsion with Ha-Go (which was a birthday gift for me )

In next hours or tomorrow first serious steps.
Wish me luck

I think this would be a fun build. And attractive, especially
in the tri color camo.

Front wheels (before painting)

Probably one of the most difficult parts of this project - front wheels. Maybe not 100% accurate but I'm satisfied with the result.
Took me entire day to make them.
Painting tomorrow.

I think they look good, especially for a test build.
