Okay.. after a few 1:50th tanks under my belt ..next project

Going to have a go a my first scratch build ... and what better subject than New Zealands most (err in?) famous , most powerful, most awesome weapon of war our Number 8 wire mentality has EVER created I give you the level 9000 Bob Semple track.....errr Tank.

found some crude plans on the net and scaled them to 1:50th and using some slightly over scale scrapbooking corrugated card the fun will begin.
One advantage of the Bob Semple tank is they where never built from plans and all 3 that where constructed where different, and bits of armour fell off or where added during their impressive career of driving down the main street of small provincial kiwi towns scaring small children, asphyxiating it's crew and giving mums and Grand-dads a false sense of security against the Yellow peril.

Hello, I have a large number of very accurate plans , mainly German WWII, which could be scaled to 1/50 ..if you have a particular tank in mind let me know. I am a scratch builder in 1/76 scale. i am attaching a pic of one of the AVFs ..I still don't know which....it turned out to be an Israeli M3

Looking forward to seeing this corrugated iron creature take shape.

According to Wiki: "The crew of eight included one gunner who had to lie on a mattress on top of the engine to fire his Bren gun." https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bob_Semple_tank

lol, kiwi ingenuity (or it that stupidity) at it's finest apparently the tank was more dangerous to the crew than any perceived enemy, but did give hope to a worried nation.

It looks good. Well, at least it looks like the original vehicle and the craftsmanship is first rate.

some more work on Bob tonight, having to seal the "corrugated iron" with some tamiya primer as it's pretty porous, I Plan to spay Bob overall olive green at the end of the build.
The world of Tanks leichttraktor provided a perfect size turret after shortening it down 3mm

What Don said. Looks really good so far.
It's interesting "tank". Some time ago I was considering to build it from scratch too but in 1/25 scale.

Here's a good link about Bob Semple tank with many informations, photos and a video.
