Looks great so far. What scale? Do you have some background on this lil target you could share?

It says it is 1:72. But looks and feels more like 1:00

All i remmber at this time it was a prototype tank only one or two were built

I have not done much research becouse i was gonna do it when i made the base and was gonna put info on the bottom of base so that how ever got the model could read about it

As I understand the T1 Cunningham were only prototypes, never mass produced or entered into combat in any version. Surely Charlie C if you see this thread will give you information, know all of this. It looks very good, that designer is your model ?

You are right that the tank never was mass produced.

I had found info and read up but never tried to rember info

I like to look up info for my self best way to learn new things

And like i said was gonna look up and put info on the bottom of the base

That the one i got i also have the 48 scale one but screwed up when i sent to printer and sent the 72 scale

Small bit of history. After WW1 the US Congress passed a law which forbade the US Army from acquiring new tanks and transferred all exisiting tanks to infantry control. However, there was a loophole. So that the US wouldn't fall behind other countries in tank development the Ordnance Dept was allowed to develop tank prototypes. The T1 light tank was one of the prototype developments in the 1920s. It was based on the layout of the British Whippet tank. The T1 tank went through a whole series of versions with different armament, turrets and engines (? - I think).

Alberto (who designed the model) said there were 4 production T1/M1 light tanks built in 1928. Anyone got a copy of Hunnicutt's book on the US light tanks?

Both scales of the T1 model are available on Landships II - the designer was Alberto Perilli.

If i rember correctly they went up to t4. Then changed to the M’s

I have not seen the book but had gotten on to 3 or 4 1/2 web sites only count wepketa as a half.

But will look to see if i can find the book. Thanks for information
