Armoured Tractor No 1 1936

Recently put this model on Landships II and thought I'd get into the Spanish Civil War modelling boom. I rescaled the model to 1:50 and printed it on 200 gsm since I thought it would be too floppy with thinner card. The model went together quite well except that there's no indication where the tray which holds the tracks goes. It doesn't go at the bottom of the hull since this makes the tracks hang down too far. After a bit of part surgery I got the tracks attached inside the hull. Also needed to reinforce the bottom edge of the hull - it really should be folded over to give a doubled edge. There's an error with the track grousers - they are supposed to be every second track link but start one link in from each end - makes an odd looking gap when the track is formed into a loop.

It's a small model - 90mm long overall.

It's a fairly simple build - took me an evening to finish

Regards,

Charlie

If I can read my Snap On ruler 90 mm is like 3 1/2" 'Murican!!!

Seriously! That is 1:50. 1:100 would be half that.

That is really a great build Charlie. Congrats.

It looks great, a great job in this strange vehicle of the civil war. And a night to finish it? I would take a week at least. Excellent construction.

I love it! Great looking model, Charlie. Another interesting vehicle from the Spanish Civil War, and one that I just have to build.
