That not batignolle tank
some update on this light tank only 100 was produced before 1940 mainly because the price rise up and was close to the Somua S35 so this tank wasn t longer produced. It was a advanced shape designed but too slow and under armed a it was attended like all light tank to support infantry mainly same pattern tactic as the FT17.

With that agglomeration of angled and welded plates can we settle for it being an FCM 36?
A very interesting set of models of French armour. |

I also now think the model is of an FCM 36 - there is a survivor at Saumur Tank Museum.
According to the Accueil website FCM increased the unit price of the tank from 450,000 francs to 900,000 francs and the Army lost interest. Charlie |

And the winner is Maurice!
That a FCM36 it is quite easy to do it in paper as is all made up with plane surface

Hello i just finished the FCM36
i do think the color is a bit dull. Construction is not easy.especialy Balance between the two track build i m stuck in finding for a workable solution. but for a first prototype i m quite happy few minor change and improvement . Think about some guide to ensure perfect symetrie for both side. it is visually important that a tank lay ''heavy''on his caterpillar.

Hello Avraham, you are right some french afv was used by both part during the early stage of Israel. Some afv was ''taken'' from syria as left over from vichy state force and some was bought just after war but it is unclear how they was acquired.
Regarding Maly Modelarz R35 i used to know it but i was a bit disappointed by the really ''boxy'' shape of the model. french tank of the period was cast metal and it ia not easy to render the cast metal effect in paper but it is where is fun and challenging. How to figure something with paper material which is flat and angular! Bending is the key and it is fun to find original solution to design. Thank for your comment an good luck .
