A complex model it is. Yes you need a lot of mojo for those wheels only
But it seems you doing great.

I noticed, that Angraf models, especially armor, not so well designed and have a lot of mistakes. Hope you will not meet any.

Good luck!

Those tyres look wonderful, well worth your time and effort, even if they were mojo destroying.

I don't know if I had reached the tenth wheel, the patience you have for this is admirable. Wonderful work jaffro.

That's a lot of "rubber" and a big project. Wonderful work and watching for more.

Thanks Igor, I'm going to need the luck. I've been scanning ahead and can already see some problems. Mislabelled parts, different parts with the same numbers as others, etc.

I read on some other forums there were problems with this kit, I think maybe with the suspension. I'll see how it goes, but I'm ready for it.

After completing the bulk of the work on the 42 trailer tyres, the truck tyres seemed like a walk in the park, at least until it came time to applying the treads.

No problems to report, they went together without any issues. I wasn't happy with how square they ended up though. On the real truck, the tread surface has a gentle curve to it, the model tyres are dead flat. While the wheels do look good when complete, I wanted to add the curve, so I made up a little jig to hold them on a skewer and mounted them on a dremel type thing to sand them into a curve. It's not quite as curved as I'd have liked them to be but it's better than flat. Also, the sidewalls were a bit too pointed due to the simple design, so I added a curve to them with some putty. When applying the tread, I also found it was better to remove the "lugs" from the outer skin of the tyre that shows where to mount the treads as they didn't all line up properly when the treads were applied. Lucky I decided to test this before attaching them all.

Work had to stop there though as I've run out of the paint I use on my wheels, the bulk of the work is done, but I've also experimented with some 3D printed lettering for the tyres, I'll decide after the paint arrives whether I'm going to use them or not.

I've also finished assembling the dual tyre sets for the trailer, I'm really pleased with how they're looking, although there's still a bit of final touching up to be done. I couldn't resist lining them all up in formation, giving a good idea of what's going on under this trailer. These won't be hidden forever once the trailer is complete, it actually sits quite high, showing most of the undercarriage etc.

Work is already underway on the trailer, giving me my first hint of possible trouble to come. It seems the truck and trailer both share a lot of part numbers, along with figure numbers for the diagrams in the instructions, it also seems the instructions aren't as detailed as they might need to be but it's early days and I'm confident enough, I'm looking forward to finally moving on to something that's not wheels.
