Thank you Greg, David and Sergio.

As I was ready to start a new section, I was reminded how frustrating the parts layout is on this kit. Parts are scattered all through the pages in no sensible grouping or order, same with the laser set, it can be quite time consuming to find them all.

After hunting out all the parts for the next section, I decided to keep going and separate all the parts and group them according to the steps in the instructions. All up, it took nearly 10 hours but I'm fairly confident I won't be missing parts down the track.

After all that I was left with 2 parts I couldn't find any mention of anywhere, one in the parts book and one in the laser set. Funnily enough, they both have the same number but certainly don't match.

Also, along the way, it appeared that I was missing a page of instructions which Greg was kind enough to send me, we then discovered his book was missing a page or two that I have in mine so now we hopefully both have a full set.

The rest of the build should be a bit less frustrating now, but I'm still not expecting it to be smooth sailing all the way.

Love the bagged 'crime scene' approach to organising the parts.

Before I start to build anything I always create spread sheet with the parts to find them easier later on. It takes some time to create one but you are saving a lot of time later on to find parts.

Haha, gotham, crime scene is a good description. Whoever did the parts layout on this kit needs to be arrested.

I've never been a fan of spreadsheets I'll, but I'll be doing this with all future builds of this size, so I don't end up missing parts then finding them after I finish the build and had to scratchbuild something or source a copy.

It's been a couple of weeks between updates so here's where I'm at...

Having broken the parts up into their groups it's easy for me to just jump into any section now, without too much fuss. Apologies to anyone using this thread as a guide, it probably won't always be in the same order as the instructions.

I have two different locations I build at, one has more supplies than the other, so this last couple of weeks I've focused on getting sub-assemblies ready to paint.

First up was the trailer gooseneck, Step 7, Parts 134 to around 171, including Step 4, the main mounting hinge for the gooseneck, parts 74 to 79.

no real fitting issues to report, everthing went together quite well although it was a bit fiddly lining up the 4 main frames and keeping everything straight.

I've got a few customisations and enhancements to do here but needed to get the main frame together first for some pre-painting before attaching the top piece. I'll come back to this at a later date.

Next up I started on the rear loading ramps as they looked relatively easy. There are a few minor issues here, namely parts 110 (x4) are marked wrong with the placement marks for the ramp treads and grab handles all being in the wrong places. Part 121a is the bottom of the ramp, where the hinge parts are mounted, These are identical but should be mirrored. Parts 113(x 14) the ramp treads, are too short and don't quite fill the gap they're supposed to bridge, I fixed this by cutting them longer than required, after finding the laser cut ones were too short.

Next up, I built the rear section that the ramps attach to, Trailer step 3, parts 47 to 73. This all went together very well but might've been easier if I hadn't already attached part 8+8a to the rear of the trailer deck as it's part of this assembly. No issues to report here, I'll also return to this later, to make the lights that go here.

The trailer is taking shape now, just a few more small parts to make and I can start putting it all together.
