There is a ZIP file with an EPS file containing the right Polish eagle for the Pilsudski's Tank (bottom of the page). That's the file I used in my version of the kit (Pilsudski's Tank - C.T.'s Paperclads 1/72) built years ago.

Pilsudski's tank is finished, and I'll soon be sending the file over to Charlie Cleland for inclusion in Landships II's growing list of downloadable paper models. I've made some improvements to the parts pages, so anyone who builds it after me will be getting a more accurate model.

I'm finally happy with the eagle on the front. I opened the full sized photo from #9 above in Photoshop, and got rid of everything except for the eagle. The photo was taken at an angle, and the front of the vehicle also leans backwards, so the eagle was distorted in two directions. Using the skew command, I unskewed the image until it was facing squarely to the front, and then widened it a bit horizontally to compensate for the photographic foreshortening. Finally I adjusted the brightness and contrast so bring out the shadows of the sculpted eagle. I widened the red field it's sitting on a bit, and printed out the new eagle on regular printed paper, and glued it on.

Besides the more accurate eagle, I also drew up heftier wheels/tires, and lengthened the chain mail curtain to closer match the real thing.

Here are a few final photos. New eagle, but still the old wheels and original short skirt.

I hope the image can be linked here. This is one of the best shots of the Pilsudski's Tank I have seen.
The side metal mesh skirts are clearly visible.

Nice find! If you click the bar above the pic, you can get the original size which can be enlarged even further with a click of the +magnify glass to fill the entire computer screen (and then some).

I'm surprised to see how see through the curtain is. It looks more like light fabric than chain. The full size image clearly shows that it's actually billowing in the breeze. I think I see photographic evidence that the front curtain is in place as well, so you're actually able to see clearly through two layers of the curtain.

Definitely looks like a wire mesh rather than a chainmail armour. The very narrow wheels and tyres can also be seen and no suspension or chassis detail which should be there considering the mesh. Mockup? I cannot see how any worthwhile armour can be carried by the wheels visible and am tempted to go with the mockup as most likely.

Just a suggestion but the image reminds me of the grenade screens on the Mark I tanks when they first went into action in 1916. The purpose of the screen was to catch a grenade so it exploded away from the hull. The skirt on the Pilsudski might serve a similar purpose - to stop grenades being rolled under the vehicle. It suggests the floor of the "tank" wasn't armoured.
