1/72 Japanese WWII truck Isuzu Type 97

Here's the new model for my 1/72 Pacific War collection.
I found it in Scissors & Planes catalogue and instantly ordered. This Japanese WWII truck has always been one of my favorite military vehicles.

Original model was in 1/100 but of course I resized it to 1/72 and recolored a bit. Also, I've added some little details, like headlights and rear light, to make this Isuzu more accurate.

Although I had planned M4 Sherman, it will have to wait. I'm still doing a research on their involvement in the Pacific theater and I have not chosen the camouflage/markings yet.

A nice design and a very clean build. I didn't know that Bruno also designed vehicles. Well done!

Very nice truck!

A question: do you apply a sealing coat of some kind onto your models? Or is it the paper that you use that gives it that nice effect? It looks really nice.

Yes, I apply a carpenter's wood varnish. It makes paper models more durable. And what's more, it also protects them from dust and even small drops of water.

I didn't know that too. This was a huge surprise to me. He has some well-known WWII military vehicles in his catalogue.

Thanks Sergio and Carlos.

So far I've got 4 vehicles in this Pacific series. Two Japanese and two Australian. I think it's pretty obvious that the next two will be American, finally.

Looks very nice. If you need some timber sides for your Sherman, let me know.
