Looking nice.

I think the artwork on hand-drawn kits is always very appealing...

As someone who knows his way around an old school drafting machine, templates and the like, I can appreciate the challenge of designing a hand drawn model. I never like the lettering through (I don't like my own lettering either). Needless to say, this particular model is surprising me with the quality of it's design. Not perfect but really good for a hand drawn model.

Had a bit of a marathon session this weekend and finished this beast. I got so engrossed that my pictorial documentation efforts suffered a bit.

Anyway a few notes from this portion of the build:
  1. Not a big fan of the hand drawn artwork for the canvas covers. Does not look very convincing. The cab top takes some thought on proper contouring for intended fit.
  2. Doors fit fine with front window but left side door has a large gap at the top. So I ended up gluing it ajar.
  3. The inner bracing of the rear canvas top does not allow proper placement on the bed. Ideally the canvas sides go over the top edges of the bed sides, but not for me.
  4. The gun pedestal was very fiddly.
  5. So was the rear tow rope.
Otherwise, I stand by my earlier assessment that this was a well designed model considering it was hand drawn. I can certainly recommend it for anyone looking for something different or as a good introduction to building tracked vehicles.

Looks nice Greg.
I see what you mean about the canvas top but considering this is a hand drawn kit, it does not take away from the over all appearance of the model. I look forward to seeing it in person some day.
