SU-100Y - 1:25 scale
Hello friends.
This is my SU-100Y tank destroyer project. Well, I had seen this tank in games like World of Tanks and Warthunder and of course internet photos from the Kubinka museum. And I decided to make this tank in 1:25 scale and hope that it works until the model is finished. And I also show the first images of the model under construction. And I admit I have no idea yet how to make caterpillars. Does anyone have any suggestions. Regards Last edited by juniorbrasil; 07-29-2019 at 08:05 PM. |

An interesting vehicle.
You could take a look at some of the World of Paper Tanks models & copy their band tracks or try making links (lot of work but look great). The wheels & tracks are not a generic SU type so you wouldn't be able to copy/upscale them if you want 100% accuracy. |

Nice start, please keep us updated. It really depends if you want a one piece track or individual links. Tracks come in various difficulties and it's up to you to pick what suits your design.

Hello again.
After a long break, I managed to work again on the SU-100Y. I had a lot to do and little time to dedicate to the model, but now besides that tank I started another model, the E-25. There are few things I have done, but it is already a small advance in the model. @hirondelle, on tracks, I saw that the T-100 tank is the same model, and Modelik made this model, so I looked and found some assemblies where I am slowly trying to make the tracks. The tracks has been my biggest difficulty, as I have no idea how to calculate. I just know that for a start I will make unique strips and I will only add some details to give the desired 3D effect. What I did at the time was the cannon, which was an advance. The fenders are ready, all that remains is to add them to the tank. And I also made small details like the tower door and the rear engine cover. For what I did I am enjoying the results |

Hello my friends modellers,
After a long time, I could finish the SU-100Y. I had many problems during the assemble, as the model and personal and had to remake some parts, but I could finish. Of course, I still need to make the final tracks, but the tank itself is finished. Here is the final result. Regards |
