Getting started.

I built the wheels and I used toothpicks as axles.

I built the subframe and got frustrated. The developer has made it very narrow, so my project of making interior and an open door cannot be achieved.

I passed the axes through the subframe. I will adjust the length only at the end of the assembly.

Now to the main body.

I would cut out white part, reinforcing the rest with cardboard from the inside, same with the main body; but i guess for now it's better to leave it as is.

Thanks. I will try to do something different, this kit is very simple. Need a spice.

Hi Rafael. Believe it or not, this is the first time I looked in after your first post. I didn't realize that this thread was going to turn into a continuing saga of your builds. You do very nice work, showing solid improvement from model to model. I would recommend that you reinforce the larger panels of your models from the inside with cardboard. I like to use thin corrugated cardboard (like from a sneaker box), or beer coasters. These materials don't warp as much as other cardboard. Bend your scores slightly before gluing in your cardboard. I often lay a book on top as the glue dries to keep everything flat. I'm looking forward to seeing more builds from you.

I need to improve the reinforcements, really. I also need to use non-water based glues.

About this topic. I use this one for practicality. I believe Meece is doing the same thing, all in one.

And so who has the time and interest can see all the evolution in different models.

what weight are you printing your models out at? I tend to use 160gsm paper for mine, i find that at that weight when I double it up it tends to be rigid enough to cut hatches etc out without buckling along withrockpaperscissor's idea , Sometimes things like gun barrels ore things that are rolled tight i reprint on 80 gsm paper to make it easier to roll.

Since Tiger kit i use 120gsm. (Tiger, Panther, Dorchester and Sturmpanzer)

But i will start do "double" some parts for more rigidity

Things have evolved a bit since yesterday

After reading your comments, I decided to stick to the initial idea - but in a practical way.

I cut only the upper half of one door; Scissors in the subframe to get space; I created a "cocoon" for the driver and assembled some more.

And now it's the final stretch. This kit has few parts. Next update should be it ready. (for good or for bad)

You are doing another great job Rafael.To reinforce surfaces I use cardboard from 0.5 to 2mm, but as Don says it tends to arch, more using PVA, I have verified that with UHU this does not happen because this adhesive has no water in its composition. Other boy to reinforce uses a method that consists of laminating in successive paper capacity until reaching the desired thickness, and achieves excellent results.
