Thanks.
Could be, but he's probably more into missiles I think... Anyway, it's time for another update. Today I finally forced myself to continue the M-1978. As some of you know, lately I don't have a lot of time for a hobby. Koksan is also a very demanding project and you just have to be in the right mood to work on it. What's interesting, I've found out that it's good to listen to some music while building a model. For some reason, it makes the sessions more efficient. If you like to know what I usually listen to, it's mostly The Rolling Stones, CCR/John Fogerty, David Bowie, Johnny Cash, Bob Dylan, The Animals, Willie Nelson, Elton John, Phil Collins, Joan Baez and many more. I just love the music from 1960s-1980s. Ok, now let's go back again to the M-1978 as I want to add a few words about what has been done. The platform on which the gun will be mounted is almost ready. It doesn't have all the parts yet but I hope to add them tomorrow. The last two photos show the platform's marching and firing position. And like I said couple months ago, in the finished model, the gun will be locked in the marching position. Today I also had to reposition the right hatch. Koksan is still a pretty much an undiscovered SPG and there're no good photos or technical drawings. Things like this always cause some sort of problems because you often have to do something completely blindly to move forward. And then it either works or not.

New update.
I'm still working on the gun and as you can see, some more parts have been added. But that's not everything. Once again I had to do a little surgery and use scalpel(thankfully, it went well)... Gun was in the incorrect position and I had to move it more to the left side of the platform. I really hate that odd asymmetry in M-1978...

2021...
Almost two years and this one's still not finished!
Today I decided to resume this project. There's really not much work left. The gun part is completed in something like 98%... I just have to make the railings that are on the side platforms. This should be done tomorrow. Then I'll do the remaining elements/details of the hull. I hope this is the last time I'm resuming M-1978. It's time to finally bring it to an end...

I was wondering about this project. It's good to see it going forward again.

The gun is done in 99,9%.
It only needs two small details - 주체포 plate on the left side and a red star under the barrel. These will be designed digitally, then printed and glued in their place. Of course, the whole gun has to be painted first. But before I start painting, there's a hull to finish.
