I had forgotten about this one !! I'm glad to see you continue it. The mind is like this Kacper, sometimes you can't find a solution to something and suddenly ideas arise.

The barrel is done. I thought it would be much more time-consuming but to my surprise, it wasn't.
Looks pretty good I think.

Also, I used here some Wamod putty for a better result.
The holes/slots(there're two variants of the muzzle brake) will be painted later.

Yikes, that's a long barrel.Being wooden one you might need some weight in engine compartment to counterbalance it.

Keep it going! How much reference do you have on the actual gun support structures? Being N.Korea, shouldn't information about this be difficult to come by?

The barrel is actually not that heavy. I'd even say it's pretty light. The hull is much heavier now and when I add to it all those mechanisms, parts of the gun, it will become really heavy as for a paper model. Remember that this model has a lot of cardboard in it, also a 1mm cardboard inside the hull and inside the wheels. There's no way the finished SPG is unstable.

How much reference do I have? Hmm,... a lot. Definitely enough. Any kind of information about the NK equipment is indeed difficult to come by as you say, but I've managed to find 32 photos(mostly from their propaganda) of the M-1978, plus, I also took some screenshots of the 3D model you can view here: https://sketchfab.com/3d-models/koks...f998451907a75d

Today I continued my work on the gun. Just added couple more parts and details.
Looks much better than yesterday. More dangerous, I'd say.
