1/35 Atomic Cannon

1 of 3

Scaled up this project from 1/48 to 1/35 and recolored it closer to the display at Fort Sill. Here is the front prime mover so far. Added a few extra detail parts. Hope to have this one completed for our IPMS show in October.
On to the rear prime next.

Looks very good.

I lived in the Lawton/Fort Sill area from 1963 to 1968. I remember having a lot of great times at the Wichita Mountain Wildlife Refuge, climbing around on Mt. Scott and camping in the various areas around the refuge.

The USAAMC would invite the public out to watch a demonstration of artillery fire and missle launches. Loud and impressive, but I don't remember them firing an atomic cannon. They did fire a Little John and I belive an Honest John rocket sometimes.

Looks Awesome Todd
I have this kit as well and was thinking about scaling up to 1:25 to go with my Dragon Wagon.
