Chibi/SD Tiger I

This the first of the New Year's resolution models that I intend to complete before starting any new projects. This one had been languishing unfinished for at least a couple of years. Before I lost interest, all I had to do to finish the model was to build the turret, and do a little layering. This is one of Tonton's SD armor kits, and is the second one I've built. Previously I had done his Jagdpanther in an WWII German ambush camo pattern. There's a thread in here somewhere about it.

The Tiger I started out as a white model (PDO). A pale grey cartoon cat head was the only livery option. I made a PDF of the parts page, and textured it with WWII German 3 color camo and some iron crosses. The realistic track texture is taken from another free kit and resized to fit. It's a tiny thing, measuring only 70x55mm (2 3/4 by 2 1/8 inches) but it has a lot of nice detail for such a small model.

I have another one of these Tonton SD tanks in queue for completion in 2020. It's his M3 Lee which now carries the livery of Lulubelle from the Humphrey Bogart film "Sahara".
