Hello people i hope you are all good in this damned times. I finally decided to finish this one. All in all it looks very nice. Weights about a kilo and is very sturdy. Don't worry it won't leave the house. I have a lot of images but i haven't took any build pics unfortunately.
The front handguard was scratch built and the muzzle is plastic. Everything tears down like the real gun. Bolt rotates and lock but the carrier has issues with entering the buffer tube so cycling is a bugger. It's supposed to be a version of Sai Gry so i colored it blue and black. It is still missing the rear flip sight. Hope you like it. Still thinking on how to display it. I will dig up the patterns and plans for scratch built parts if anyone wants them. I belive there are patterns for the old m16 as well with the carry handle. Have a good day . |

The bullets are pretty bad made but i found a great way to make hard fake bullets as you see. They are one piece when put together so there is no actual projectile to remove from casing. They are for my m24a1 rifle that im scratchbuilding. Il try to document the work.

Thanks. I am not the designer of the model. I just built it. The kit is free to use but not complete. Patterns include the magazine, lower receiver and fire control group, classic full body m16 stock and car-15 version, m16 and m4 upper receiver but you will need to scratchbuild the charging handle, bolt doors and forward assist. Bolt carrier is also included and dimensions for the barrel, buffer tube and some little pieces. The rest is on the builder to design and assemble so it's a nice challenge and practice in scratchbuilding. There are no instructions so you have to research the real gun in detail to know how the final parts need to look and how they work. I can provide drawings for the scratch built parts of my build.
All in all it's simple you just stack pieces together but very time consuming. There is a lot of models made this way from winchester rifle to ak to 1911. |

I had to look hard for tell tale signs that this was a papermodel. very well done. I may build a couple of these for decoys to throw off the atf when they come to confiscate my actual ARs.
