PzKpFw I Ausf A 1/100 Der kampfflieger

Another finished model. This was stopped since last winter, it is the PzkPfw I Ausf A in the colors of the Spanish Legion, during the Civil War of this country in 1937/38. The Panzer I was the first German operational tank of the post World War I, clearly circumventing the Versailles treaty. In a way, he followed the tactical conceptions of the time with different elements copied from the British Carden-Loydd tank. The Panzer I was never developed as a combat tank (AFV) but as an infantry suppressor, as it was armed with only a couple of machine guns. Used by Whermacht during World War II in the initial campaigns, they were soon replaced by more modern vehicles, due to their low armor (the small British 6-pound anti-tank guns and even PIAT bazookas took it out of action). In addition to Germany, Nationalist China and Hungary (we already mentioned the Spaniards) used the Panzer I in combat. From the chassis the Germans tried to develop several self-propelled and specialized versions that failed due to the fragile suspension and mechanics, practically for commercial use.

Excellent work in that little jewel Pericles! At the end of my last A-4 after a long time I also went to the tanks for a while, in 1/50 and the chains are getting tedious.
