AEC Dorchester

Dear Friends
After a bunch of years and three moves I am calling the model done.. It was a learning experience. Originally it was a free model from the web 3 page 1:50 scale paper model I just tried to search and see if it is still out there but had no luck. I rearranged the parts to 6 pages and 1:32 scale, added a tail pipe started to do raised rivets gave up after 1/4 done, added boxes, and other stuff from other models through the years. Let the pictures tell the rest of the story. Would like to do it again with parts from other AEC Models for detailed under carriage and paint job before the Germans captured them
Enjoy,
Miles

Well done! I have a 1/50 version about 80% completed. Yours looks great.

Well, it looks good.
That does look like a bunch of rivets to be raising.

Dear Don:
As I get older I want bigger parts to work with. I am glad that the site is still there as it is a good model that is of moderate parts count to make a good finished model. I started to do the Dorchester in 1/87 scale from Best paper models site now gone but gave up. There are now better models out there of AEC stuff with historic photos to do some unique Models. I even have pictures of Canadian Military took several and made bomb disposal Trucks with them.
I am finding that I am taking 1:50 scale stuff that prints onto Letter and printing them on 11 by 17 card stock in close to 1:32 scale and the arthritic fingers can work with the parts much better. Some where in the house I have a stash of 1/35 and 1/32 military miniature figures that I could modify and paint to do dioramas, if this shelter in place goes on. So far I and my family are well if getting cabin fever.
I started a 1:50 scale bren gun carrier after part 6 went and took the thumb drive to FedX and had them print it to 11 by 17 cardstock much better. Have been taking pictures will start a build thread
Enjoy
Miles
