Smile Churchill Mk IV AVRE from R & P Papermodels in 1/100 scale.

Hello my friends!

My humble collection of AFV in 1/100 growing slow. At the time I show the R & P Papercraft Churchill AVRE reduced from 1/87 to 1/100. Nice model to build with many details and elements, I try reproduced all in 1/100.

In last pics I show with Panzer I in same scale , the great size of Churchill is evident.

Another amazing model, Pericles!
Coincidentally, I'm considering Churchill from R&P as one of my next projects. Not this one but the another one, Mk.III from El Alamein 1942. I would resize it to 1/50. Like you say, it's a quite detailed model and to my eyes it would look good in a bigger scale.

Could you tell us something more about your building experience with the Churchill, Pericles? I'm interested if there are any parts, elements or stages which are especially tricky or difficult.

That's a lot of detail in a tiny package. You did a great job on it.

Is not hard to build desing, the hull and tracks is three big blocks the secret keep all align, for small pieces I recomend used external references, many pieces are confused in instructions in relation a position.

The model is enabled for upscale but have one flaw for a good representation in 1/50, the suspension gear braces and wheels are textures, not pieces...

Thanks.
Actually, the running gear represented by textures is not that bad for Churchill. I would never want to do a full version of the running gear in this tank. I just don't have enough patience for all those small wheels...
Couple years ago I did a p****ic Churchill and even then I had enough of those wheels!
