Anyway, let's see what's new in the BRDM-2 project. The model is almost finished. All I have to do is the turret and maybe a few more details on the hull. In this update only the headlights(searchlight is one of my add-ons) come from the original kit. I spent the entire week on designing and building the missing parts. The exhausts are from scratch and they are painted with Pactra A46 Black Matt on which I later applied MIG-044 paint using sponge. For the antenna I used the broken high E string from my acoustic guitar. Also I've made some accessories. Barbed wires and the war flag of Egypt(United Arab Republic back then). Maybe I'll use them later for the photos.

I like your wheeled models better but that might be just personal preference. Remember your Dodge WC-6? That was masterpiece and looking at above pictures you just keep getting better .

Here's the last update. Turret is done.
The remaining parts of the hull are also installed. As this model is my repaint, I also redesigned some places to make them look more accurate. The turret is a great example. Its front plate has been completely redrawn(the original version had 3 identical black lines). The armament is from scratch. Wire and the old piece of plastic, painted with Pactra A54 Gunmetal. For those of you who wondered what's written on the sides of this Egyptian BRDM-2, here's the answer. It's "107". Most likely they're read from left to right. This website was a huge help(https://www.flamesofwar.com/hobby.aspx?art_id=4394). Although they say that the numerals were usually black, I've seen them white too. And according to the picture from my first post, this particular vehicle had the white markings. Now, all the model needs is varnish and the good set of photos.

Magnificent! We look forward to the final Kacper photos. I like the extra details you add, and everything you improve on the original design, enhances the end result and gives it your personal touch. You have done a magnificent job again.

It really looks great. You've kept us in suspense too long - let's see it with the turret on!

The end!
Egyptian BRDM-2 (Six-Day War 1967) is finished. I thought it would be an easy project but it wasn't. Gathering data, studying various sources, repainting, resizing, designing new parts, etc. And, of course, the building process. All these things took me a little more than one month. But just like I said at the beginning, I've always wanted to build this vehicle in those Egyptian markings from Six-Day War. I really like the result and I hope you'll like it too. Enjoy the photos.

Thanks, Sergio!
Taking photos is one of those things that I really enjoy doing. It just gives me a lot of fun, especially if the pictures are like these above. Sometimes I prefer simple, plain white background. Usually it's the best option but sometimes there're models that have that thing, you know, there's just something special about them... History that makes me want to capture it in photos. Here we have a Six-Day War, 1967. And an Egyptian BRDM-2. As far as I know, there are no actual photos of these vehicles in this conflict. Only some written statements and one drawing. That's why it deserves much more attention. It's a piece of forgotten history I want to bring back, recreate and share with you. And the pictures like these above just make us see not only the model but also the history behind it. That's all.
