New update.
Didn't have much time recently but today I installed the headlights. There're still some details to add but I hope to finish the 770K this week. We're very close to the end.

All I can say about your wonderful creation is that it would look beautiful in my collection of German WWII vehicles

Your scratch built model is superior to many published kits. You've done a magnificent job on this model.

Thanks.
Today is a very important day for this project. It's the last WIP update. Next time you'll see the finished W150. Tomorrow I'll install the remaining parts and then apply the varnish.

Parts
As this model may be the only Mercedes-Benz 770K(W150) in paper, I've made the decision to publish the parts I designed. However, please keep in mind that it's not a complete kit but a set of parts you may use in scratchbuilding. There's no instruction, there're many useless things in that pdf, a lot of parts are inaccurate and have to be corrected, etc.
Honestly, I don't think you'll build a model out of it, but as many of you were interested in this project, I've decided to publish the pdf and let you try. File should be available soon in the downloads section. Tomorrow I'll show the final result. My model has been finished. Now I want to let it dry as I applied the varnish.

Thanks, Rick.
By the way, I'll say just a few more words about one thing. The license plates. It took me a lot of time to find the most accurate ones as the vehicle I chose was probably the rarest 770K in Hitler's personal fleet. What's more, it was most likely his "everyday" car, not a one used in parades. The first letters, numbers on the license plate are IIB, what means that the vehicle was registered in Oberbayern(Upper Bavaria) where the Hitler's residence Berghof was located. The parade cars had IA on their license plates and that means the vehicle was registered in Berlin. License Plates of Germany Before 1945

Hitler's Mercedes-Benz 770K (W150)
Hitler's Mercedes-Benz 770K (W150) is completed.
It was a really great project and recreating one of the most important vehicles in history was a quite amazing experience, especially if we consider the fact that it's probably the first W150 done in paper. I put a lot of work to achieve the best possible result for the 1/50 scale. Just like I said before, the model portrays, most likely, the rarest 770K in Hitler's personal fleet. Research in this case was pretty difficult as there're not too many photos or films where we can see his daily cars. Usually we see the cars he used in parades. So, I hope you enjoyed the thread, and what can I say... Enjoy the photos!
