US Navy Dodge WC6 (scratch project)

My second scratch project. US Navy Dodge WC6. I've always wanted to build it since I watched Tora! Tora! Tora!. Finally I have enough documentation to start it.
First step - scaled side and front photo to 1/25. With blueprints it would be much easier because they're perfect. We can't say it about the pictures. They'll never be in perfect angles. That means I'll have to make some corrections while designing parts.

Related thread(mostly about research and sources of documentation): US Navy Dodge WC6 - next scratch project?

Ok. First pics below. Tomorrow I'll try to start something. Frame, I think.

Good luck with this one K-man. You've proven with your previous efforts you have the skills mister.

A nice job awaits you. When I started in naval modeling in wood I did not have plans, nor diagrams or drawings, there was no internet, it was the 80s. My first boat I did that, from some pictures of an encyclopedia of modeling. It is not simple.

Started the most tedious part of this project - wheels. Expect slow progress on these things. Cutting 16 circles precisely in 1mm cardboard is rather not a pleasure... It was enough for today. Next stage will be even worse. I have to cut out from those circles another 16 smaller circles! Then I'll have to make the rest of parts for tires and at the end, the rims.
A lot of work...

No, but at least when I finish them I'll have a lot of satisfaction.
Model building shouldn't be too easy.

Internal structures for tires are finished. They took me 2 days. I also reduced number of big circles to 10. Just found another way to make wheels wide enough(little, square pieces of cardboard between). Laser cutter wasn't needed but I broke one of my blades for scalpel. I was cutting out the circle and then, suddenly, it "exploded into space", quoting one iconic song. Still haven't found that blade.

Ok, photos here:
