Update 20 rounds of 75mm KwK40 L/48 ammo...

As printed, the card stock is too thick to roll the tight cylinder required so each round had to be delaminated before gluing.

I see a valuable tip in these photos: when punching out circles, use a template to center the punch over each unit. I have never thought to do this. D'oh! So simple, yet the thought never crossed my mind for all these years. My punched circles will be much more precise from now on. Thanks, Kevin! The rounds look great, by the way.

Excellent ammo builds Kevin!

Kevin, I am glad to know I am not the only one who delaminates
card stock. Makes me feel "normal".

Don, I have a see through plastic circle template that I use as well.
I think I had a picture of it in the Lifted Corvette thread.

Great work on all that ammunition, Kevin. Clean and precise as always -

I have a template that I use with my screw punch, although the results are never as accurate as yours.

That is some outstanding seam work on the shells.
I assume you beveled the seam edge to eliminate the gap.

Thank you all for your kind words.

Work on the ammo storage boxes is now complete. The parts continue to fit well, with only one minor issue to report. The rear ammo storage box on the left side had to be re-positioned about 1/8" closer to the front of the vehicle in order to allow enough clearance for the box to open without hitting the ledge on the fire wall.

Next, I will begin construction of the transmission.

Also, a funny side note, not entirely related to this build exactly but I had to mention it anyway. As I was looking trough some reference materials (my copy of Squadron/signal publications PzKpfwIV in action)...I saw a familiar photo There was a picture of one of my first ever paper models looking right back at me.
I guess it's no big deal but I thought it was kind of cool anyway.

Happy modeling

What a tedious job to form the petals of each grenade into a smooth looking tip. Excellent work! The model looks very attractive with this kind of weathering.

Regards,
Erik
