7TP in 1/50, WoT design.
Greetings. As I was losing inspiration with the airplanes and I did not like the final result, I decided to build something else.
So some WoTs are very good to regain inspiration. The first is this little Polish 7TP, very entertaining and with the quality of these designs not I had no problem, except that it is very small. I built all the turrets that the kit comes with, one of which I was told is fictitious and that it was never installed in this tank. The construction process, from the undercarriage, forget to take photos of the hull construction. |

Good for you Sergio. It looks like a good build.I agree about the size-WoT models have very small parts. Those beautiful textures and weathering effects would really show in a bit larger scale and size of parts definitely warrant enlarging.
One of the last tanks I build was also 7TP from Maly.It came out great except paper wasn't very cooperative (way too thick).I have the same kit from WoT (and few others) and some day I'll try to make them larger. |

Like its parent project the Vickers 6 ton, the 7TP was actually built with either one (with a cannon) or two (machine gun) turrets. Multi-turreted (like the Russian T-100) and MG-only (like the Italian tankettes) tanks were soon recognized as ineffective, so most twin-turrent 7TPs had been rebuilt as single-turret by the start of WWII.

There was a theory that the two MG turrets could enfilade a trench with the tank straddling a trench and the MG turrets pointing in opposite directions. Clearly whoever thought that one up had never bothered to read the British Army manual on trenches - trenches were never dug in long straight lines but made up of short sections to limit the damage enfilading fire could do. The German Army in WW1 went one better and often put armoured doors between the trench sections.
The model's single turret looks like a pretty good representation of the 7TP turret (attached). Good job on the model(s). 7TP factoid - it was one of the first tanks to have a diesel engine. Regards, Charlie |

It/they look great, Sergio. I think you did a fine job. I've had very little time to spend on modeling for almost a year now, and I'm chomping at the bit to get started. Models like yours are inspiring me. Very soon now I should be able to start building again.

Thank you very much everyone !!!
Karol, I completely agree, the textures of WoT are great. WoT has a model in 1/25. Now I'm with his Stug III and then I intend to venture with this one, I don't know how it will turn out Well, I have no experience with large scales. Cfuruti, Charlie, many thanks for the valuable information that you always give us. Don, Rafael, I hope to see something from you soon. Sometimes it is difficult to find the time and inspiration for the hobby. |
