Beautiful job on this little guy, Kacper. I always liked the looks of the Stuart.

M3A1 Stuart (Cuban Revolution)

Thanks for the kind comments and for the interest in this project.
We've reached the end. Cuban M3A1 Stuart is completed in 100%. I applied the varnish and installed the antenna(made it from the broken high E string of the acoustic guitar).

It's great to have another forgotten piece of history, recreated in 1/50 scale. I think I've never seen a model of Cuban Stuart before.

History of ww2 tanks in Latin America is still unknown outside of region. Many have been used for a very long time. Wasn't there a batch of Stuarts found in some army depot storage some years back? I'm not sure what country it was, they were used well into 1980.

Thanks for showing it.Very good looking tank model.

Wonderful Kacper result !! Latin American military history had many interesting little explored machines. It is very good to see things like this interspersed with the known classics. Spectacular Kacper work !!

Thanks, Karol and Sergio.

Karol, those Stuarts you are referring to, might be the Paraguayan ones. If I'm not mistaken, they're even still officially in service there.

You are right-those were in Paraguay.More over, they are possibly back is service for training and crowd control. If you can't have what you like you will like what you you have.

Stuart & Shermans – Paraguay Reactivates 75 Years Old WWII Tanks

While looking for this search turned out some interesting info on M4 tanks in Argentinian and Paraguayan service. They have been refurbished few times since 1945 and hardly resemble originals, but one ended up in Czech hands and was returned to original trim by some reenactment group.

Thank you Kacper for making me stick my head into that subject.Good reading
