Gpm tk-3

Hello, It's been a while!
I wanted to show you my K55 SPG (from Model Card's M109A2)builds,
but I took too many pictures already.
If I sorted them successfully, I'll post it next time.
I can't promise it. So don't wait for it :D

Anyway, I'll show you new builds that started today.

It's the GPM's TK-3
I always wanted to build 1939's Polish draisines series.
So I started TK-3 first.

This model is quite simple. Only two sheets. But It has laser cut parts, frames and tracks too :D
Which means I can build comfortably.

At first, I cut laser cut frame's kind of gate thing

[/url]
Than I assembled them.

Using acrylic paints, I painted its sides

It seems like I choose correct colors.

except for brown.

Change!

Assembling lower hull,

And Upper hull.

Thankfully, It fits well.

That's it.
I'll see you next time

Part2

Hello, I'm back
Continued with today's builds.

Behind structure was separated as above.
And It was easier than 98' TKS Model.

Sometimes there are some problem exists like this,
but not hard to handle it.

Just painted it green.

Looks better.

Now than, I build other parts of behind's hatches.

Behind's bigger parts' done.
Now, I moved on to the front,

This front transmission hatch has a problem.
The camo pattern doesn't matched.

But I got this sheet.

I found flat lined pattern, and cut it.
It was brighter than original part, but at least I can match the pattern.

That was Today's build.
I hope you spend good time, and I'll see you next time :D

Ouh,monster sized pictures. Please size them down if you can. They take forever to load and are for some it can be bandwidth issue, not to mention impossible to see on some smartphones.

Ages ago I tried building TKS from very ancient Maly Modelarz (it could have been TK-3) but I failed. Good model but horrible and old card.

I have enjoyed seeing these images and watching your clean, precise build take shape.

Thank you for notice me, Butelczynski.
Wow... I didn't noticed until my sell phone suffers.
I can't edit past ones anymore, but I will resize later ones.

Oh, I saw Maly's TKS in allegro before.
Judging from my 96's Maly model, that TKS must be hard to build
because of its brittle paper.

Don
Thank you, Don Boose.
I am so happy to hear that someone likes my work. :D

I was forgot about this yesterday.

The fenders.
It was one of hardest part in this model.
I had to stick separated parts as upper and lower.
Which causes more factors like unmatched section.

Now, move on to the MG mount.

To attached with inclined hull, upper arc-shaped frame needs to be sanded.

]
It's done. Now attach with hull.

I will make Wz machine gun later.

Now, most hardest part has come.

(Never mind about error. It is not your device's problem.)
I wanted use laser cut part, but I can't ignore this different bright.
So, I'll use printed part as possible I can.

And this is end of assembling sprocket wheels.

This is one of road wheel's suspension structure.
There are two parts that connect suspension with hull, and this is one of that.

This is kind of suspension rail for its vertical moves.

Other part that attached with rail.
This part will connected with Idler wheel.

I made little aperture.

Because this 29e and d's assemble might causes extra volume.

This is today's build.
I hope you have a good time,
And I'll see you next time.

Some very precise work here. Do you always cut pieces with scalpel?

Side question-were TKS and 7TP tanks ever painted in solid green/olive green color or were they always in some sort of disruptive camouflage?

Thank you so much, Butelczynski :D
I usually use Japanese art knife.
(I don't know what is difference art knife with scalpel)

This is it.

About color, I always saw 3 color camo that you mentioned in black & white pictures.

Also according to Hataka's polish vehicle paint description,
those green camo introduced at 1936-37
and It became regular after mid-1938
So ,I guess Polish armored vehicles use 3 color camo usually.
I'm sorry I couldn't give you a clear answer...

-Suspension build continued

Other parts that support road wheels completed.

Assembling each other. Soon, road wheels and idler wheels will added in this assemble.

Know, It is time to assemble with hull.

At first, pierce brass rod to this part.
And painted it.

Building completed.

And I built main leaf spring.
In this case, I use laser cut part.
Because back of printed parts doesn't have a color at behind.
(Which means they'll got a different colors as printed and painted)

But this way, there is only one color as painted.
I used acrylic Nato Black.

Assembled successfully.

Lastly, leaf spring's central clamp added.

This is today's build.
As I always said, I hope you have a good time,
and see you next time.

Very nice.

I am really enjoying this build, especially as it is a smaller model - more the type of model I would build!

All tankettes developed from Carden Loyd original were small.Very small.Think smaller than Mini. YT Chieftain did a great video on a running replica owned somewhere in US and it's unbelievable just how did makers crammed 2 crew members, machine gun and an engine in that tiny armored box.

Thank you, Kevin WS!
Yes, It it quiet small that even almost same as 1/25 medium tank's turret.
It must be cute when placed together with Ti-3

Hello, Butelczynski!
I saw his video before.
This tankette is... so small that can't beat the modern tracters.
On the other hand, It looks amazing that result of polish army tried to mechanize their forces.
Even though the invaders who left didn't leave anything behind.

-Build continued

It is time to build road wheels.
Using scissors, I cut those circles.

Initial assembling.

And assembled whole road wheels.

Next, I build leaf spring.
I use laser cut part again.

Added some rivets, too.

After assembling this parts, I can attach road wheels to the hull suspension.

Black-rectangle is road wheel's rod, and I had to shortened to insert it easily.

Now, whole parts are ready to assemble.

Using nato black again, I painted leaf spring.

It's done. Now attach with suspension.

Now I can say that the hardest part is about half done.

This is today's build.
As I always said, I hope you have a good time,
and see you next time :D
