Main road wheels finally done. All the strips needing rolled were too long, which is of course better than too short.
The centered tapered cap just does not really work as designed. The center hole is too large for the caps provided, no matter how you roll the taper. So I rolled the taper to cover the hole in the wheel and made all new center caps at 4 mm diameter. All the wheels are now in paint. Greg

Running gear is done. Some tan paint has been applied. Cutting out track parts took many time and much finger pain.
Tan paint is Vallejo Bone spray paint. Track treads are rustoleum 2x slate spray. Various acrylics applied by brush to other parts. Thank God that part is over with.... Greg

Been building small diversionary models, but still fit in some progress on this one. Front face details in place...

Finished up through parts 90 this weekend. Fit is merely OK. Camouflage coloring of parts is awful. It's a good thing I'm painting this one to hide all the mis matches.
Because I'm painting, I had to cut and form all the rear deck louvers. That took some time and planning. Greg

I got myself into the zone. From parts 91 through 122 my build sequence has been off. This is because of painting the model tan. Some higher numbered parts need to be installed earlier so paint can be applied more easily.
Anyway, the hull, boom, and blade assemblies are done enough for paint. I'm still working on the lifting, dragging and pulling accessories to mount on the body. I am debating construction and inclusion of the Pioneer tools and top mounted gun. Greg.

Looks good. Did you seal the paper? It seems to have taken the paint
very well.
