Nope. Planning on painting whole thing desert tan anyway. If I change my mind, there's enough color mismatch I'll need to do major retouch later on as it is.

Skinning continues. A fair number of parts need trimmed to fit. Easier to trim excess than fill in gaps though.

I found a mistake I made: the blade mounting shafts were supposed to be installed when building up the formers. Now I have to figure out an acceptable work around. Oops.

Suspension. Many parts, some fiddly-ness. Stuffing the axles through the hull was a little bit of a challenge. Thankfully the 4 mm rod stock was actually a tube so I stuck some copper wire in the middle to give me enough of a handle to get them placed.

Currently cutting out a bazillion road wheel parts.

Now that I have a couple of tanh kits I'm wondering how one goes about the cutting out those bazillion parts? Surely there's some secret method of getting this done. Some part cutting tool or....?

In this case it's basically a mark 1 hobby knife for inner diameters more than 5 mm , scissors for outer diameters and a Japanese hole drill for small holes 5 mm and under.

I have never had good results with circle cutters, but some folks swear by them.

A sharp #11 blade and practice/patience are all you need to cut circles.

Suspension looks good.

I recall watching in awe as you cut out perfect circles by eye.
