Part 1: M88A1 Fly Model - The Payload.

And so begins my next long term project.
I am not 100 % sure, but I believe this may have been an early computer drawn model from around 2000.

It is printed as an United States Army unit named Black Knight.

Because of it's payload status, my current thought going in to this project is to paint it desert tan.

Off to laminate frame parts.....

Greg

Hi Gary,

That looks like it'll be a fun build. Lots of diorama ideas too!

Looking forward to your start...Dan

Lots of formers (40+ pieces). Got the basic shapes cut out. Next I need to cut all the tabs, slots and other cutout shapes.

Tab and slot trash. Then assembly of formers at the IPMC today. Some trimming and tab adjustments were required.

I haven't worked on a model in over a week. This weekend I've got a little done on this. Skinning has begun....

I notice you haven't edge coloured the skins, will this be done later ? I, personally, would have thought it more convenient to edge the panels before placing, but that's just me. This is definitely going to be a build to watch 👍
