Early Peugeot armored car WWI

The first makeshift cannon armored vehicles "Peugeot" appeared in August 1914. The base for these cars was various types of Peugeot cars that were available. Only the hoods and cabins were armored. A 37-mm Puteau cannon with a flat armor shield was mounted in an open body on a pedestal mount. One of the earliest examples of this type of vehicle was built on the chassis of a commercial rear-wheel drive (4x2) one and a half ton Peugeot truck. The engine compartment and cockpit were protected by 5.5 mm steel sheets. The armored hood had a semi-cylindrical shape, and the inclined front wall of the cockpit with two small rectangular windows smoothly passed into the roof. More details about the history of this handsome man can be found on the Web and Neta. The model is based on the works of Alexander Bondar, the founder of the Armor on Wheels series. Scale 1:50. Materials - standard cardboard and paper. Work for pleasure, leisurely, in the evenings. Impressions are only positive.
